We warmly welcome you join us for an incredible week in the south of Spain! We will be embarking on a 7-day, all inclusive, creative journey in the beautiful hills of Frigiliani, just a half hour drive to Malaga, the birth place of Picasso, and the stunning Mediterranean coast.
Led by acclaimed artist and art educator, Joy Fahey will guide you through a variety of lessons, exercises, and demonstrations, that will further enhance and unlock your creative abilities and understanding of abstract art.
Together with a small number of fellow "creatives", your week will not only be comprised of invaluable art instruction from Joy, but you will also have the unique opportunity to experience local fare and culture, including a visit the world-renowned Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre of Modern Art in Malaga, wine tasting, and Flamenco dance demonstration. There will, of course, be plenty of free time so that you can either relax by the pool, enjoying the calm and serenity, or go off on your own to explore the area, or continue working on your masterpieces in the studio!
During our week together in Frigiliana we’ll take inspiration from our beautiful surroundings, hone our own unique creative voice and learn ways to tell the stories that come from our personal experience.
In the daily workshops Joy will share with you an array of techniques, but more than that, invite you into the beauty of your own way of seeing the world, help you find ways to loosen up and embrace limitless possibilities in your art making, through acrylic painting, mixed media, collage and bold and playful mark making.
